Ron & Dignora My wife and I went on your tour April 13, 2010, Jim was our driver. We have been on many tours over the years and I have to say this was the best one ever! For $69 you get at least ten hours of non-stop fun, information and lunch. There was no sleeping on the bus as Jim had a vast amount of knowledge of the entire area. Every stop we made was so enjoyable and the views of Lake Tahoe cannot be described here. When stopping at the Cal-Neva make sure you go to the back of the building to see the still visible nametag for Frank Sinatra's parking space. Make sure you schroll down to other people's reviews because I have left a lot out, but I can vouch for the other people that this was a great tour. We liked it so much I wrote an additional review on tripadvisor.com We also met the owner and wife of the company Tom and Vicky who were charming people. Continued great luck in the future.

Jim and Cathy Fantastic tour. The driver was a great tour guide. Very informative. Especially enjoyed the flexibility of the tour. We've been on other tours of Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas and this was by far the best. When we return next year, we will definitely go again to see what time didn't allow us to see last time.

Jim Stark I just wanted to drop you a brief note to express our thanks for the tour on Tuesday March 16th. We talked about you and what a great job you do with tourists like us. We could never thank you enough for your knowledge and easy going personality, not to mention your flexibility as to allow us to take "our tour". I think it is really nice of you to allow people to spend time where they choose to. We did refer some bowlers, whom we do not even know, to your tour. We weren't sure what tour they were planning on, but we told them in no uncertain terms that no one would give them as much as you. As for us, we will be back in 2007 and you most definitely will be on our list of must things to do. You, my friend, are a part of the legend of the Sierra Nevadas whether you know it or not.
Karen & Anita We just wanted to thank you for the most memorable trip to Virginia City on Feb 19!! You made my birthday absolutely a special one to remember! My mother was a trooper to last all day up there with her rhumatoid arthritis and muscle disease, so I KNOW she sure enjoyed it! We are so sorry we made you late that night and hope your wife wasn't too upset! Your expertise and knowledge about the area was greatly appreciated and that just added to the wonderful ride there and back in your luxurious limo! Having drinks and Almond Roca in the limo was absolutely wonderful, but the thing I really appreciated and was surprised by was the birthday card you gave me!! That meant a lot to me, since my own sister never sent me a card. I can't tell you what a special touch that was for you to remember and do that for me. I hope to come back up in the summer sometime and spend more time and maybe even overnight in V.C. We still didn't get to see some of the places closed at the time of the year we were there. Belva On April 14 we were fortunate enough to have Thomas aka "Pinkey" as our guide with Bayline Tours. Never having been to Reno previously the tour, which he deemed as "our own", proved to be awesome, enlightening, educational and lots of fun. Vicki We truly enjoyed the driver, Thomas. He is a great storyteller and has obviously worked very hard to ensure he has a lot of information about the area he is touring. He is polite and respectful. We never would have learned so much had we simply rented a car and made our own way to Virginia City! The price was really very good. The lunch was FABULOUS. Phil & Lucy Bayline Tours My husband and I took the Tahoe tour from the El Dorado Hotel on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004. We both had the best time ever on a tour. Thomas, our guide/driver, was ever so knowledgeable of the area and history and entertaining to boot. A true cowboy (and gentleman), he ensured a good time for everyone on the tour. Hernan & Esther We had seriously considered renting a car to explore Reno/Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas when our hotel recommended Bayline Tours. It was the best decision and experience of our trip. The tour was incredibly thorough exceeding our expectations. Our guide Thomas offered a wealth of information (facts) and interesting stories (hearsay). It made for a most pleasant day and we highly recommend this tour for any first time or repeat visitor to Reno/Lake Tahoe.

Mary K I went on the tour April 22, 2005 and enjoyed every minute. I really liked the stories, folklore, fact and fiction that Thomas told about all of the areas that we saw. It was not only educational but he made the trip very entertaining and the time went by fast. I plan on taking the tour again on my next trip to Reno.
Steve I took your tour on Thurs. May 5, 2005. Thomas is a great host & very cautious driver. Great with stories, both fact & hearsay. I couldn't think of a better way to see & learn about this part of the USA. The group even got Thomas to sing a little tune for us. He was PRICELESS!!! It was my high light of my trip to Reno. I have told many people about this tour & I have only been back home for 2 days. I hope to get back to Virginia City to see Thomas in a play gun fight. Thank you. Keep the great tours going.
Craig The tour was what made our holiday in Reno, not only was it informative entertaining and interesting but the driver managed to tell us all sorts of anecdotes, local folk stories and written history the whole way; the was not one point in the trip where the was nothing interesting to find out. I would strongly recommend anyone who visits Reno to go on this tour. The driver was excellent and was very articulate and professional. It was obvious he has a passion for the area, history and the wild horses that he manages to find along the way and conveys this in a most interesting and entertaining manner. Well worth the money.
The Grahams We took the tour on June 30, 2005. Can't say enough good things about our adventure with Thomas. He's a man who loves his job, and it shows. We enjoyed him as much or more than the sights we saw, and his driving was impeccable. It's amazing to me that he does this every day and still has enthusiasm and ability to make it fun and interesting for the passengers. We were glad we cancelled our plans to rent a car! It strikes me that probably not many employers are fortunate enough to have an employee of Thomas' caliber. To other visitors to Reno -- take the Bayline tour. You get lunch, a couple free drinks, rolls of nickles -- and best of all, Thomas! Thank you, Thomas, for a great tour.
Pat This was definately the best tour we have ever been on. Definately the height of our trip to Reno. If we had more time we would have done the trip a second time. He told the stories heard from the decendants of the wild west He also told facts about the area. We saw the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Ina and Roger We took your tour and we think that it was the best part of our visit to Reno! The narration about the Donner Party was so very interesting and informative that I have been studying the subject since our return home. It was quite evident that our guide had did his home work. Jim Took the tour on Nov. 1, 2005. I've been traveling this area for over 40 years. During this tour I really "saw" it! What great fun. My friends and I couldn't have had a nicer day. The lunch in Carson City was terrific. The tour is 11 hours long. It didn't seem that long to me. Our bus driver was terrific, a real area historian. I recommend this tour very highly. No stress!

Pat & Sue This has to be one of the best tours going. The scenery is amazing, the buffet was great and the information given during the tour is first class. If you are visiting Reno, take our advice and do not miss the tour, its worth every cent. We will be doing the tour again on out next trip to Reno. Bob & Verla On Sept.21,2008 my wife and myself took your bus tour of the Tahoe area. We were planning on renting a car,big mistake. We heard from the bell desk that you people were the only way to go,where have I heard that line before? To our surprise, and enjoyment, this was the most enjoyable and informative tour we have had. The drivers name was Jim if I remember right. He was the BEST. He had his crap together and was entertaining at the same time. We didn't feel like we were in school and going to be tested. If he is an example of what your work force is like,you have a HELL OF a good crew. Keep the good crew and the good job up. My wife said that tour was the next best thing to SEX. Karen I would like to thank your company and Jim for a wonderfully spent day in Nevada - California. A lot of time and research went into the narration during the trip and to feel the appreciation and respect our driver has for his state. Judy & Al Thomas: When I called you before our tour, you said Jim had an informative tour program planned for us. We took the tour, and Jim’s tour program was at the least informative, and at the most, a production. For example, he provided a history lesson (about the Donner Party), a musical event (with taped music), a literary presentation (about Mark Twain), and a wealth of information about the area, the people, and the events of the region. He represented your company professionally; he represented the Reno area with detailed information; and finally, he respected everyone on the tour. He is a professional in every sense of that word, and we received far more in every way possible than what our colleagues received on their tour.( With another company). Best of all, he kept our attention for the full 10 hours. There was no sleeping allowed on Jim’s tour, and that is a good thing! Thanks to Bayline Tours for giving us a sense of the area.
